At the Foreign Language Centre UG, we offer language courses in the following foreign languages:

Currently, over 10,000 students from the I, II, and III cycles benefit from FLC’s offer.
We also provide language development courses for the academic staff and administrative employees of the University of Gdańsk and paid language courses for the Foundation for the Development of the University of Gdańsk.
We provide language preparation for students who are participating in international academic exchange programs.
We conduct the language proficiency exams as part of the doctoral dissertation for PhD students at the University of Gdańsk and other universities and institutions.

We provide language courses at all proficiency levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) by using a diversity of teaching methods that meet modern educational standards. We provide an experienced teaching staff and professional learning tools. Our offer is tailored to the needs of the university and the contemporary job market. By teaching foreign languages for academic and professional purposes, we provide UG’s graduates with employability and mobility in the sphere of higher education and the international job market.

We adjust the curricula to the needs of particular study courses. Students have the opportunity to improve and practice the use of general, as well as academic, and specialist language in the fields such as:

After course graduation, every student can receive a certificate confirming the realization of the language course and their language skills proficiency in accordance with the CEFR. This document may serve as proof of foreign language proficiency at other international universities (credit transfer) and also as an enrichment of the UG graduate’s portfolio.
