Commercial courses

The UG Foreign Languages Centre, in cooperation with the Foundation for the Development of the University of Gdańsk, offers language courses run by experienced teachers. We offer courses in English, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese – at all levels of proficiency. You can choose between general language courses or specialized ones (e.g. business, academic, or legal language), depending on your needs.

If you are interested in joining a group, please include the language and approximate level (from A0 to C1) that you'd like to register for, along with your contact details. Please send your application to: cjo.kursy@ug.edu.pl

Courses can be held on-site, on-line, or blended, depending on what is agreed upon between the teacher and the group.

STANDARD COURSE TYPE:

- In groups (a minimum of 5 persons).

Standard course duration and the programme of meetings:

15 weeks (1 semester), 90 minutes once a week, thirty 45-minute units in total.

Days and times:

Monday to Thursday, 5.00-6.30 pm or 6.30-8.00 pm

Other days and times are possible, upon agreement with the teacher.

During the first class, a short placement test or an on-line conversation will be held to assess your level (this does not apply to beginners).

Students may also join existing groups.

Course fee per person: PLN 1.100.
This includes 30 teaching units (15 meetings, 90 minutes each)
 

Note: UG students and staff are entitled to a 10% discount on the above prices.

We recommend studying for at least two semesters for the best results.
